The Tree of Communication Health™

The Tree is the master diagnostic model of Communecology™. It maps the entire communication health system across five structural layers:

  • The Five Roots: Exploration, Filtration, Imagination, Transmission, Translation
    These roots reveal the origin of communication patterns, the quality of message formation, and the health of internal processing before expression ever occurs.

  • The Trunk of Confident Identity
    This is the stabilizing structure that determines how consistently a person or organization shows up in their communication. It measures clarity, coherence, and self-alignment.

  • The Branches of Content Familiarity
    These branches assess how well a communicator understands, organizes, and navigates their own material - a critical predictor of message stability.

  • The Leaves of Narrative Connection
    Leaves represent the points of contact with audiences. They diagnose resonance, clarity, and emotional accuracy.

  • The Fruit of Affinity
    Affinity is the ultimate outcome of communication health: messages that are memorable, repeatable, and relationship‑strengthening.

The Communication Health Vital Signs

Modeled after clinical health indicators, the Vital Signs measure the immediate functioning of a communication system. They include:
